My first blog!

Hello Everyone!

For those who don’t know me, my name is Stephanie, and I am a financial coach. A lot of you may be thinking, “Great, another financial advisor that is going to try to get me to invest and use terms  that have no meaning to me.” . I promise you that is not the case. For one: investing is not my cup of joe. I leave that to the experts and two: I like to make things as simple as possible. My family and I just moved to  Bridgewater from Abington where me and my partner both grew up. As a financial coach, I help ordinary people with managing their money. I enjoy helping people put their finances behind their goals and watching the looks on their faces when they start seeing the results.

A few months ago, my little family and I bought our first home with the help of Jenelle Hitchcock . Before we even got  to the point of needing Jenelle we had to make sure our finances were in order.  How much do we need for a down payment? What can we afford? How do we pay off all this debt? My brain would not shut off. The mind drama was unreal people! After a couple  weeks of this I made a plan. I then spent the next few  years diving into our finances and taking action. I figured out what worked for us and what didn't. I soon realized that when it comes to money, it's not always black and white, there is a lot of gray area. There is also not one right or wrong way to handle money. What works for one person may not work for someone else. I remember my partner one night saying, “Are you still playing around with that excel file?” Indeed, I was! I just could not get enough of it, seeing how just one small change in habits could shift everything.

Once the dust  settled, we unpacked and did some renovations. I felt like I was missing something… numbers! Which led me to financial coaching. I guess I have always had a passion for helping people with numbers, but I am ready to grow that outside of my friends and family. If you or someone you know wants to buy a home, but they have no idea where to even start, I am here to help! If you keep saying to yourself, “Next year we'll buy,” yet next year comes and goes, you are exactly who I am talking to. Stop putting your goals on hold. Together we can gain control of your finances. I will be your biggest supporter, accountability partner and motivator. All I need is for you to believe in yourself!
